4 Ways to Repurpose Content
As you know, 2019 has been the year of mindful content more than ever. People want snackable, valuable, engaging content and it can be hard to constantly come up with new and cool ideas. If you’re finding yourself struggling to find things to post about and talk about, the good news is that you don’t have to look too far. You’ve already made it! There are many ways to repurpose content in new ways, and we’ve gathered 4 of our favorites below.
Repurpose Content by Turning it Visual
If you’ve got some really great written content, chances are people will love it even more if it were visual. Listicles, like what you are reading right now, are great to turn into infographics for people to easily digest on social media. That way, your great content isn’t only living on your blog and can be more easily shared on the web.
Give Old Blogs an Update
Another one of the great ways to repurpose content is by giving old blogs or website pages an update. SEO rules for the algorithm are constantly being changed and updated, so go back to some old blog posts from a few years ago and adjust accordingly. Then, you can change its order in the sequence and bump it back up to the top of your list so that it’s relevant again! Bonus points if you’re able to add a couple of extra paragraphs to it and update the photos, as well.
Turn Bullet Points into Social Posts
If you’ve got some great bullet points, turn them into a social media sequence. For example, every Tuesday, share a #TipTuesday with some bullet points from an old blog and put it on a branded slide. Elaborate in the caption some more and link back to the blog for people to be able to read more. Then, add some relevant hashtags to the comments section and not only have you repurposed some great content, but you’re also driving extra traffic to your website that you normally wouldn’t have.
Turn Website Pages into Videos or Email Newsletters
Struggling to figure out what to write in this month’s email newsletter? Grab something from your website! All you have to do is rearrange the format and possibly shorten it a bit, but – viola! Instant content for your email newsletter. It doesn’t just have to be a blog page either, highlight one of your services or products and grab the content straight from that page.
You can also talk about one of your products or services in a video to share on social media or YouTube. This way, you can show yourself off to people who prefer video and wouldn’t have otherwise seen that content, then link back to your website for that SEO gold.
